The problem of OOSC has hawked Asian and Sub-Saharan countries. Another one is Nepal that is between China and India. Poverty makes people more vulnerable; similar is the scenario in Nepal.
According to the most recent analysis conducted by the government of Nepal, one-third of the population is living below the poverty line. Moreover, 31.2% of the population is nearing to the line of poverty. Unfortunately, the most current stats were not available on OOSC. However, according to Census 2011, 30% of primary and lower secondary school children are not attending school.
Other than fetching efforts on the legal educational framework, global nonprofit organizations like Education Above All and BuildOn and aim to enroll more than 159,211 kids in school. Educating a child program with joint support from Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) aims to target some of the world’s poorest countries, including Nepal, Guatemala, Senegal, Mali, and Malawi. Other NGOs working in the country include World Education.
